For a courier quote, please send me a message with your full postcode, before you buy. Courier costs vary, depending on the size of the piece and delivery location. Alternatively, (at your own risk), you are welcome to arrange your own courier collection from me in Brighton.
• Covid update:
Deliveries are currently permitted and courier companies are still operating, working to strict Government and public health guidelines, which will mean that they can only deliver to your doorstep, driveway or the pavement outside your home (having collected from me in the same way). If you are unable to or would rather not accept deliveries at this time, I would be more than happy to store your piece until current restrictions have been lifted and it is safer to do so. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to talk any of this through further •
My items are very carefully restored and restyled, with every attention to detail. However they are hand painted, pre-loved vintage pieces, so please expect characterful imperfections, and not a modern factory finish.
CARING FOR YOUR PIECE
I prefer to use Fusion Mineral Paint where possible, a specialist furniture paint with an environmentally conscious formulation and virtually zero VOCs. It has a highly durable and wipeable finish - but as with any hand painted/refinished item, it will be important to treat your piece with extra care, to keep it looking lovely for years to come. Painted surfaces can be used gently after only 48 hours of drying time, however please allow a period of 21 days for the paint to fully cure, before placing heavier items on top. Ensure any items placed on to the surfaces are clean and not sticky underneath, and use mats and coasters where possible.
To nourish the unpainted natural wood and enhance the beautiful grain, a high quality finishing oil should be used regularly. I prefer Fusion Hemp Oil (available online) or Refined Teak Oil. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to apply the oil in the direction of the grain and gently polish off, every 3-4 months.
Please note, I cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused to your piece, once it is in your care.
