The Windsor dining collection was imagined by Ercol's founder Lucian Ercolani during the late 1950's, and is still in production to this day. Model 455 sideboards were manufactured during the 1960's, and have become highly collectable in recent years.
Built to exacting standards in solid elm with a veneered elm backboard, this piece has a simply stunning figured grain, more complex and mesmorising than any I have seen. Tremendous craftsmanship is apparent throughout, from the tactile curved edges to the exposed dovetail jointing and iconic oval inset handles. It is in near perfect condition throughout.
Not only stunning to look at, it also provides ample storage, with three deep drawers at the centre flanked by two large cupboards with height-adjustable shelving. The top drawer has a removeable solid elm cutlery compartment. The base is fitted with original shepherds casters, so although the piece is extremely heavy, it is very easy to manoevre.

• At the moment, courier companies are still operating, working to strict Government and public health guidelines, which will mean that they can only deliver to your doorstep, driveway or the pavement outside your home (having collected from me in the same way). If you are unable to or would rather not accept deliveries at this time, I would be more than happy to store your piece after purchase until current restrictions have been lifted and it is safer to do so. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to talk any of this through further •
This is a preloved vintage piece - however it remains in superb condition throughout (as good as I have seen) - any imperfections are minor, and only apparent under close scrutiny. It has been sensitively cleaned and polished for sale.
If you have any questions at all regarding the condition of this piece, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Additional photographs available by request.
