• If you are local to Brighton, this nest is available to view/purchase at North Laine Bazaar, Upper Gardner Street, BN1 4AN •

A really stunning and very rarely seen set of three nesting tables, manufactured by Poul Jeppesen Møbelfabrik in Denmark.
In 1962, these tables appeared in the infamous Scandanavian design journal 'Mobilia' (85th edition) alongside several pieces by Grete Jalk, and as a result were attributed to her for a long time - however recent research indicates that they were in fact designed by Kaj Winding. There are two logos stamped by the manufacturer on the underside of the smallest table (see last picture).
They are exquisitely crafted and refined in every detail. The turned legs and connecting bars are so slim and delicate, yet the tables remain sturdy. This nest is Danish Modern elegance epitomized.
It is so hard to show just how lovely these tables are in a only a few photographs! If you are local to Brighton, please do pop in to view at North Laine Bazaar - or more photos available by request.

CONDITION
My original teak items are carefully selected and revived with utmost care. But remember, they are preloved vintage pieces; please expect characterful imperfections and not a factory modern finish.
This nest has clearly been treasured over the years, and remains in absolutely gorgeous vintage condition. The table tops have been newly refinished, hence they have no obvious marks or scratches to speak of. On close inspection you may notice the occasional tiny knock along the edges. The legs have been sensitively cleaned and reoiled. I believe there may have been a connecting bar between the front legs of the smallest table, which is no longer present - but this is not at all obvious, unless you know! A minor imperfection, in an otherwise perfect little masterpiece of Danish Modern design.

CARING FOR YOUR PIECE
It will be important to treat these vintage tables with care, to keep them looking their best for years more to come. Always ensure any items placed on to the surfaces are clean and not sticky underneath, use mats and coasters where possible and wipe away any spillages immediately with a soft cloth. Use a soft cloth to dust and avoid silicone-based polishes.

Please note, I cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused to the tables, once they are in your care.
