I believe this fabulous credenza was produced by Stonehill during the 1960's, however there is no maker's mark - my research into the piece has been largely futile, which suggests to me that it is a rare example, perhaps produced in very limited numbers.
It is a beautifully crafted and imposing piece, which had been well looked after over the years, therefore I made the decision to alter it as little as possible. The top surface has been fully restored and refinished using Danish Oil, to enhance the absolutely stunning grain and provide a hard-wearing satin sheen. The doors and drawer fronts have been thoroughly cleaned and reoiled (please see RETRO section below for further details). To add a contemporary twist, the handles have been updated using Fusion Mineral Paint in Coal Black, finished in satin varnish for added durability. There are three good-sized drawers and two double cupboards with half-depth shelving, providing ample storage.
Please do not expect a factory-modern finish with this piece - expect something a little out of the ordinary, with loads of character and soul - mid-century design perfection 🖤

My items are all carefully refinished, with every attention to detail. But remember, they are hand-painted pre-loved vintage pieces, so please expect characterful imperfections. This piece is in good vintage condition overall - any markings/imperfections are minor and commensurate with age. The door fronts have some signs of age/fading in places, but no major scratches or damage - please look closely at the photos for an overall impression. If you have any questions at all regarding the condition of this piece, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
