This fabulous tallboy chest of drawers belongs to an elusive range manufactured by Schreiber during the 1960's - much as I have searched high and low over the years, it is one of only a handful of pieces that I have ever come across in this style.
I felt it needed an elegant, no-fuss restyle, to accentuate those smooth curves - block colour, contrasting wooden legs and simple lines. So when the founder of Fusion Mineral Paint, Jennylyn Pringle, sent me this gorgeous, brand new colour to trial ahead of its launch this month, I knew instantly that this would be the perfect pairing.
The colour is Blue Pine - a stunning, serene blue-grey with a touch of green. With the addition of new solid brass conical pulls and a simple metallic gold triangle to the bottom drawers, this beautiful piece is now dressed and ready to grace any contemporary home.
For a courier quote, please send me a message with your full postcode, before you buy - the cost will vary, depending on your location.
I work with several specialist couriers, whom I trust fully with my furniture, and my customers! They work to specific routes across the UK, so a degree of flexibility with delivery dates and times will be required. They will keep you fully informed with a time slot in advance and a more accurate ETA on your delivery day. Assistance may be required with lifting.
Alternatively, but entirely at your own risk, you are welcome to arrange your own courier collection from me in Brighton.
My items are very carefully restored and restyled, with every attention to detail. But remember, they are hand-finished, preloved vintage pieces - please expect characterful imperfections and not a factory modern finish.
CARING FOR YOUR PIECE
Fusion Mineral Paint is a specialist furniture paint with an environmentally conscious formulation and virtually zero VOCs. It has a highly durable and wipeable finish - but as with any hand painted/refinished item, it will be important to treat your piece with extra care, to keep it looking lovely for years to come. Painted surfaces can be used gently after only 48 hours of drying time, however the paint will usually take a further three weeks to fully cure - during this time, heavier items should not be placed on top.
Always ensure any items placed on to the surfaces are clean and not sticky underneath, use mats and coasters where possible and wipe away any spillages immediately with a soft cloth. Use a soft cloth to dust (dampen with clean water if necessary).
Please note, I cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused to your piece, once it is in your care.
