This compact Dunvegan sideboard was designed by Tom Robertson and manufactured by McIntosh of Kirkcaldy during the 1960's. It features a large double cupboard with curved shelving and three drawers, one with cutlery dividers and a felt lining, providing ample storage considering its smaller size. It is a beautifully crafted piece, which had clearly been very well cared for over the years - however the frontage had suffered some sun damage. I therefore chose to retain the original natural wood finish to the top, sides and base, and refinish the doors and drawer fronts - using Fusion Mineral Paint in 'Ash', coupled with a simple linear design in metallic gold acrylic. Classic mid century design and craftsmanship, with a striking contemporary twist - the perfect addition to any modern home 🖤
Height 76cm (with height adjustable feet)

My items are carefully refinished, with every attention to detail - however they are hand-painted, pre-loved vintage pieces, so please expect characterful imperfections rather than a factory-modern finish. Please look closely at the photos for an overall impression. This piece is in good vintage condition overall - any surface markings/imperfections are minor and commensurate with age. Please note, the middle drawer is missing the lower section (below the runner) of the left side panel - this cannot be seen when the drawer is closed and does not affect the drawer running smoothly, however the drawer should not be used for heavier items (photo available by request).
